Dear Faculty and students,
It is my great honour as a newly established visiting professor to greet you at the beginning of your new academic year. Unfortunately, I must begin with an apology which I hope you will understand. The Oxford academic year will also begin shortly and the pressure of preparation prevents me from travelling to Chongqing at this time. The main purpose of this message is therefore to wish you all great success, learning, and mutual endeavour for the coming year.
Let me make a special greeting to the MBA students both those I will meet in Chongqing and especially those who will be studying with me in Oxford in November of this year. My congratulations both to the representatives of UCSEC and the administration of South Western University for their participation in the organisation of this programme. We hope and expect that this will be the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship.
Let me end by saying that I hope to meet as many of you in person in the near future and I hope and intend to visit your university before the end of this year.
Once again best wishes and I wish you all every success in your efforts.
